Convert OFX, QFX, QBO or QIF to CSV or Excel
OFX-type files are made for money software, not for people. Ledgermere shows the transactions in a table immediately and exports them as CSV (any separator and decimal format) or as an Excel workbook.
Steps
- Open the file in Ledgermere. All transactions appear, with account number and closing balance.
- Choose CSV or Excel (.xlsx). For CSV, pick comma or semicolon and the decimal sign your spreadsheet expects.
- Download and open it in Excel, Google Sheets, Numbers or LibreOffice.
What the export contains
Date, payee, memo, amount, separate debit and credit columns, balance (when known), check number, reference, value date, account, currency, source file and the FITID. The Excel file has real dates and numbers and a second sheet with a balance check per file.
Questions and answers
Can I open several OFX files at once?
Yes. They are combined by account, sorted by date, and duplicates from overlapping downloads are removed.
What about QIF files with D/M dates?
The date order is detected from the dates in the file; you can also set it under Columns / options.
